Mubasher: The weighted index of Boursa Kuwait on Sunday went up 0.54% or 2.34 points to reach 437.03 points, hitting its highest level in 29 months.

By 11:20am Kuwait time, the Kuwait-15 index gained 1.16% or 11.6 points to reach 1,010.92 points, registering its highest level in almost two years.

Meanwhile, the price index edged up 0.07% or 5 points to reach 6,900 points.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity stood at KWD 15.4 million after 64 million shares were exchanged through 2,460 points.

Investors are focusing on blue chips not the small and medium stocks in Sunday’s session, pushing the weighted index to hit a level higher than its performance in January 2017, economic analyst Nawaf AlShayaa told Mubasher.
