Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone.

The price index lost 0.63% or 43.7 points to close at 6,849.11 points, the weighted index lost 0.65%, and the Kuwait-15 index retreated 0.87%.

The technology sector led nine decliners with 2.54%, dragged by Marakez which lost 19.9%.

Boursa Kuwait’s banks sector declined by 0.4%, despite resuming trading on three stocks.

Meanwhile, the insurance as well as the oil and gas segments were the only gainers with a rise of 1.76% and 0.35%, respectively.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity increased by 9.7% to KWD 28.27 million on Wednesday from KWD 25.78 million in the previous session, as the trading volume shrank by 16.2% to 139.42 million shares from 166.39 million.

KFH recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 3.9 million.

AUB was the most active stock on which 3.38 million shares were exchanged, closing at 219 fils.
