Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Mineral Oils Co’s (AMOC) chairman and managing director Amro Mustafa on Sunday said that his firm contributed in providing the Egyptian market with petroleum products, equivalent to EGP 8.5 billion.
The EGX-listed company produced 1.4 million tonnes of diesel, Naphtha, butane gas, and mazut, in addition to 185,000 tonnes of oils and wax, Mustafa highlighted during the firm’s general meeting to approve the financial results for fiscal year 2016/2017.
He continued that AMOC exported 61,000 tonnes of wax and about 65,000 tonnes of mazut at a total value of $50 million and $18 million, respectively, according to a statement to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MOP).
The chairman referred to AMOC’s future projects of developing a unit to remove wax from middle distillates and applying the zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) technology used in wastewater treatment.
