Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Total assets of the banking sector in the UAE slightly increased by 0.9% to AED 2.64 trillion by the end of September 2017 compared to AED 2.61 trillion by the end of August, the Central Bank of the UAE said in a recent official statement.

The banking credit in the UAE edged up 0.1% to AED 1.58 trillion in September compared to AED 1.57 trillion in August 2017.

Total deposits increased by AED 13.6 trillion in September, the statement added.

The M1 money supply retreated 0.9% to AED 488.9 trillion in September compared to AED 493.2 trillion in August, the central bank added.

Meanwhile, the M2 money supply in the UAE banking system registered AED 1.25 trillion in September, 0.9% up from AED 1.24 trillion in August.

Similarly, the M3 money supply increase to AED 1.458 trillion in September from AED 1.450 trillion in the previous month.
