Ducab unveils investments in UAE’s clean energy
The company is currently supplying Ducab SolarBICC cables to two solar power-generation projects in the region

Dubai – Mubasher: Ducab on Sunday revealed investments to support the UAE’s renewable energy agenda during Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2017), paying a special attention to solar, nuclear and wind energy.

Ducab exhibited a new cable line named Ducab SolarBICC during the first day of WETEX 2017, which was “specifically developed for the UAE’s growing solar energy sector,” according to a company statement.

The company is currently supplying Ducab SolarBICC cables to two solar power-generation projects in the region: Shams 1 in Abu Dhabi, and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai, Ducab stated.

“Ducab is committed to accelerating this transformation by investing in innovation and creating tailored products,” said Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, Ducab’s chairman.

“[these products is] make it easier, safer, and more cost effective to deliver sustainable energy not only in the UAE, but around the world,” the top official added.

The UAE government aims to promote sustainable energy and plan to spend AED 600 billion over the next 33 years to integrate renewable, nuclear and clean fossil energy as part of its 2050 energy plan.
