Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Emirates Telecommunications Corporation’s (Etisalat) stock grew on Sunday on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) after the company announced a TV broadcasting experiment.

By 12:08 pm UAE time, the stock added 0.28% to AED 18 after 556,050 shares changed hands at a turnover of AED 10 million.

Earlier on Sunday, the UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced that Etisalat and the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) were conducting experiments on television broadcasting via internet protocol, according to an official statement.

In the meantime, the telecommunications sector rose 0.28%, while the ADX's general index went up 0.16% or 7.36 points to 4,475.08 points.
