Dubai - Mubasher: Air Arabia on Monday signed a financial leasing agreement with Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for six A321neo Long Range (LR) aircraft from Airbus.

Under the AED 2.796 billion deal, the new airplanes will come on stream by the beginning of 2019. 

The Airbus planes will support Air Arabia’s routes and add longer-distance trips in the near future, the company said in a statement. 

Adel Al Ali, CEOr of Air Arabia, signed the contract with Alex A. Khatibi, executive vice president of ALC, during the Dubai Airshow event.  

The new aircraft will join Air Arabia’s fleet of 50 A320  planes covering around 133 destinations through five operation centres based in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE, and in Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan.
