Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session in red; the price index edged down 0.07% or 4.7 points to 6,257.72 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.36% and 0.48%, respectively.

The real estate segment headed six decliners with 0.64%, dragged by Sanam which lost 17.8%.

The banks sector dropped 0.47% in line with the 3% decline of Ithmaar.

The telecom segment also retreated 0.32%, dragged by Viva and Zain which lost 1.01% and 0.88%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the consumer services sector topped four gainers with 1.82%, backed by Muntazahat which gained 11.4%.

Ajwan was the top loser with a fall of 19.04%, while Amwal was the top winner with a rise of 20%.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity slightly lost 0.2% to reach KWD 11.51 million on Monday compared to KWD 11.53 million on Sunday, after the trading volume decreased by 6.6% to 85.9 million shares from 63.08 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recorded the highest turnover of KWD 3.14 million, falling 0.68%.

Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 7.13 million shares were exchanged, down 1.23%.
