TASI extends gains into 10th session; NOMU sheds 1.6% Tuesday
Pharma sector headed the declined sectors

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) rose on Tuesday, recording its fifth successive growth and hitting all-time high in 10 sessions.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 0.41% or 28.14 points to 6,967.35 points, while the Nomu-Parallel Market’s (NOMU) index dropped 1.56% or 45.5 points to 2,863.99 points. 

TASI’s trading volume declined to 175.2 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 210.17 million shares on Monday, while the main market’s turnover decreased to SAR 3.32 billion ($885.87 million) from SAR 3.89 billion ($1.04 billion) in the previous session.

Food staples and retailing sector topped the market’s gainers, rising 1.62%, while materials and telecommunication sectors went up 0.7% and 0.58%, respectively.

On the other hand, Pharma sector headed the declined sectors, shedding 0.53%, while banks sector sank 0.1%.

A total of 106 of TASI’s stocks levelled up, led by Dar Al-Arkan, which surged 4.6% to SAR 9.56, while a number of 66 stocks closed in the red, topped by Amana Cooperative Insurance, which tumbled 2.66% to SAR 23.08.

As for NOMU’s stocks, Thob Al Aseel headed the index losers, sinking 6.91% to SAR 60.1, while Al-Omran Industrial and Trading soared 6.9% to SAR 9.5.
