Mubasher: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) said that KFH Capital, the investment arm of bank KFH, has taken part in arranging and operating several sukuk issues by companies and government in the region and across the globe since the beginning of 2017.

These sukuk issues are worth more than $4 billion, with subscription orders worth over $18 billion, according to a press statement issued on Tuesday.

KFH Capital succeeded in executing its strategic plans in capital markets regarding debt instruments in the region, despite the current status quo in the Middle East and the GCC.

It is noteworthy that the Gulf states have borrowed $80 billion until the end of November.

KFH Capital has operated the issuance process of sukuk worth $1 billion for two Gulf companies, namely Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP) and Oman’s Mazoon Electricity Company.

KFH noted that the sukuk market is expected to grow in 2018.
