Mubasher: 128 countries voted on Thursday in favour of the United Nations General Assembly resolution rejecting the decision by the United States President Donald Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Meanwhile, 21 countries abstained from voting, and nine voted against.
All the Arab member countries voted in favour, as well as 22 of the 28 members of the European Union, including the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
The voting comes as defiance to Trump, who recently threatened to cut off financial aid to countries that support the resolution.
The spokesman of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called the vote a victory for Palestine.
