Trading volumes of GCC markets to remain low – report
Most of regional markets rose at the end of the previous week

Dubai – Mubasher: Trading volumes in GCC stock markets are expected to remain low and stabilise at humble prices until the end of 2017, according to a report released by Al Masah Capital.

The company’s report ascribed these conclusions to the lack of foreign trading on those markets due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.

At the end of 2017, most of regional markets rose at the end of the previous week, pushed up by the increase in oil prices and the expansion of governments' expenditure, the report revealed.

In the week ended 21 December, the general indices of stock markets of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi grew 1.9%, 1.3%, 1.2%, 0.3%, and 0.2%, respectively.
