Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: GreenParking, Global Electric Vehicle Road Trip’s (EVRT) Official Charging Station Partner, on Wednesday stated that it would oversee supply and construction of a new power network during 2018 EVRT Middle East.

Comprising over 18 charging points, the new power network will cover the 1,217-kilometre drive through the UAE and Oman.

The new charging stations will be established at key locations in the UAE and Oman, which include IHG hotels: Crowne Plaza Yas Island, Crowne Plaza Sohar, Crowne Plaza Muscat, InterContinental Muscat and InterContinental Fujairah, GreenParking added in a statement.

“The Electric Vehicle Road Trip Middle East is an important step towards bringing zero emission vehicles to the forefront of the public’s attention,” said Sam Alawiye, GreenParking’s CEO.

The new stations will be opened after the cars participate in the international event arrive at the pre-determined locations in Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah as well as Sohar and Muscat in Oman, EVRT’s official partner remarked.

The Global Electric Vehicle Road Trip is scheduled to take place from 18 to 26 January 2018.
