Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session higher for the third session in a row.

The benchmark price index went up 0.54% or 35.4 points to reach 6,560.63 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.4% and 0.43%, respectively.

The price index reached above its first two targets at 6,530 points and 6,540 points; this performance is considered positive, capital market analyst Mohamad Al Anzi told Mubasher.

Al Anzi added that the weighted index also exceeded its first target at 415 points and it is heading to the next target at 418 points.

Financial services companies topped nine gainers with 0.9%, backed by Amwal which jumped 20% to be the top winner.

Telecom companies gained 0.74%, backed by Ooredoo which went up 3.7%.

The consumer goods and technology segment were the only decliners with 2.1% and 0.23%, respectively.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 23.4% to KWD 9.3 million on Thursday compared to KWD 12.14 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased by 12.3% to 91.88 million shares from 104.76 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of about KWD 903,040.

Mena Real Estate was the most active stock on which 19.64 million shares were traded.
