Mubasher: Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ports of Italy (ASSOPORTI), the Qatari Ministry of Transport and Communications said in a statement.

The MoU will entail offering new investment opportunities and facilitating experience exchange between the two parties, the statement added.

Qatar’s transport and communications minister Jassim Saif Al Sulaiti and his Italian counterpart Graziano Delrio signed the MoU.

The agreement will enhance cooperation ties between Doha and Rome in the fields of marine transport, ports, aviation and railroads, in addition to potential investment opportunities in both countries in transport and communications sectors, the statement concluded.
