Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Tuesday’s session in the red, dragged by eight segments led by the banks and industrial firms.

The benchmark price index edged down 0.03% or 2.07 points to 6,624.53 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.19% each.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity decreased to KWD 14.77 million on Tuesday from KWD 17.22 million in the previous session after the trading volume shrank to 140.69 million shares from 155.08 million.

The banking segment led eight decliners with 0.6%, dragged by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) which lost 0.13%.

Meanwhile, the financial services sector topped three gainers with 0.75%, backed by KMEFIC which added 20% to be the top winner.

Kuwait Cable was the top loser.

KGL Logistics was the most active stock on which 27.1 million shares were exchanged.

Zain posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.8 million.
