Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Industrial Services Company (SISCO) on Sunday announced that it has completed the berth expansion programme of Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) as scheduled and according to its estimated budget.

The berth’s total length of the Terminal after expansion is 1,340 metres with 14 ship-to-shore quay cranes, according to the company’s statement on Tadawul.

The project involved buying eight new rubber-tire gantry (RTGs) cranes and twelve trucks to improve the Terminal’s capacity.

After expansion, the Terminal can handle three mega vessels at the same time, data showed.

The project’s financial impact would be reflected during 2018 according to the current financial situation.

In September 2016, SISCO announced the full project at a total cost of SAR 260 million.

SISCO owns around 60.6% of the share capital.
