Mubasher: The Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) achieved a leap of 24,500% in profits during the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to the same period last year.
Earnings grew to QAR 344.67 million ($95.71 million) in Q4-17 from QAR 1.4 million ($388,76) in the same period a year earlier, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
During fiscal year 2017, profits increased by 20.6% to QAR 603.65 million compared to QAR 500.75 million in FY16.
Earnings per share reached QAR 0.9 in FY17 compared to QAR 0.78 in FY16.
The board members recommended 10% of capital or QAR 1 per share as cash dividends for FY17.
