QCB issues QAR 1.5bn T-bills in 2018
Qatar’s domestic debt instruments surged 66.3% to QAR 46.5 billion ( $12.7 billion) in 2017

Mubasher: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced issuing Treasury bills (T-bills) totaled QAR 1.5 billion ($316 million) in 2018 with three different maturities.

Early in February, the bank issued three-month QAR 375 million T-bills at a yield of 2.5%, to be matured on 1 May 2018, according to QCB’s statement.

With a six-month maturity, the second issuance worth QAR 475 million with a yield of 2.6%, while the third issuance amounted to QAR 300 million at a yield of 2.8%, maturing on 1 November 2018, the statement added.

Qatar’s domestic debt instruments surged 66.3% to QAR 46.5 billion ( $12.7 billion) in 2017, up from QAR 27.9 billion ($7.6 billion) a year earlier, according to Mubasher’s survey.
