Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE-based Agthia Group plans to further expand into Saudi Arabia through boosting investments in the oil-rich nation in the coming three years, CEO Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi said.

Investing in the kingdom is a priority for the food and drinks firm which also seeks to expand into other regions, Albayan newspaper said, citing Al Wahedi as saying.

Agthia’s investments in Saudi Arabia amounted to AED 200 million, Al Wahedi added, noting that the firm acquired water plant in the nation's Western region.

Agthia’s profits retreated 19% year-on-year to AED 206.1 million during the full year 2017, compared to AED 254.3 million a year earlier.
