Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (DEWA) posted a 7% increase in its net profit during the full-year 2017, registering AED 6.66 billion, compared to AED 6.22 billion a year earlier, according to a filing to Nasdaq Dubai released on Thursday.

DEWA’s revenue grew 5% to AED 21.6 billion in the previous year from AED 20.57 billion a year earlier.

Operating profit rose 3.2% year-on-year to AED 6.77 billion, while its assets increased by 11% to AED 131 billion, DEWA revealed.

The demand for water and electricity grew 5.18% and 3.12%, respectively, the authority concluded.
