Boursa Kuwait closes Thursday in green amid lower liquidity
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover decreased by 12.6% to KWD 9.48 million on Thursday

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session with a massive increase; the benchmark price index added 0.18% or 11.9 points to 6,760.23 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.31% and 0.17%, respectively.

Trading levels are still weak despite the grouped increase registered on Thursday for the third consecutive session, capital market analyst Murad Al Damghi told Mubasher.

Boursa Kuwait’s market segmentation will start on April, yet it has been impacted the traders’ sentiments and their current investment decisions.The financial services segment topped six gainers with 1.3%, backed by Al Madar Finance and Investment which grew 18.7% to be the top winner.

Meanwhile, telecom companies led five decliners with 0.45%, dragged by Viva and Aan Digital which lost 1.31% and 1.43%, respectively.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover decreased by 12.6% to KWD 9.48 million on Thursday compared to KWD 10.84 million in the previous session after the trading volume shrank by 20.6% to 47.27 million shares from 59.56 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 2.36 million. The stock added 0.26%.

Jiyad Holding Co was the most active stock on which 7.66 million shares were exchanged. The stock went up 4.2%.
