NBE sells 9,000 of Aman certificates for EGP 16m
The NBE bought them for casual and seasonal workers

Cairo – Mubasher: National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has sold 9,000 of Aman 'safety' certificates, a new insurance certificate for casual workers, in consideration of around EGP 16 million, deputy chairman Yehia Abu Al Fotouh Ibrahim told the Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Thursday.

The issuance of Aman certificates aimed at developing the Egyptian society and supporting casual labour and farmers, Ibrahim added.

Following the issuance of the certificates, Egypt's state-run largest lender bought them for casual and seasonal workers who are working in companies dealing with the bank, the top official revealed, as MENA reported.

Aman certificates is a redeemable life insurance certificate for casual labour, which has a maturity of three-year and includes five segments – EGP 500, EGP 1000, EGP 1500, EGP 2000, EGP 2500.
