Mubasher: The United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May said on Saturday that her government is considering the next steps after Russia revealed it would expel 23 British diplomats.

The upcoming moves by the UK government will be discussed alongside its allies in the coming days, the PM noted, as reported by Reuters.

"We will never tolerate a threat to the life of British citizens and others on British soil from the Russian Government. We can be reassured by the strong support we have received from our friends and allies around the world," said May in her speech to the Conservative Party's spring forum in London.

The decision by Moscow came after May ordered the immediate expulsion of 23 Russian diplomats believed to be involved in espionage, after a chemical attack killed a former double agent.
