Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's (Tadawul) benchmark index started Thursday in the green, supported by the growth of blue chips.
By 10:52 am KSA time, Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched up 0.03%, or 2.26 points, to 7,805 points.
TASI’s trading volume amounted to 61.6 million shares at a turnover of SAR 1.19 billion through 31,650 transactions.
The energy sector topped TASI’s gainers adding 0.3%, followed by the telecommunication and banking sectors, which grew 0.04% and 0.02%, respectively.
Meanwhile, consumer durables and apparel sector topped the market’s losers falling 0.7%, followed by the drop of food and staples retailing sector by 0.7%.
Moreover, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, inched down 2.7 points, or 0.09%, to 2,978.27 points at Thursday early trading.
