Banks, telecom boost ADX Thursday
The banks sector grew 0.86%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index gained 24.48 points, or 0.52%, to close at 4,706.56 points on Thursday, pushed up by the banks and telecommunication sectors. 

The banks sector grew 0.86% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) rose 1.21% to AED 12.5, while the investment sector increased by 0.52%, as Waha Capital added 0.56%.

The energy sector went up 0.41% after TAQA soared 3.48% to AED 1.19, while the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, rose 0.29% each.

The ADX’s trading volume shrank to 270.99 million shares from 357.77 million on Wednesday, while the market's liquidity plunged to AED 524.18 million versus AED 687.54 million in the previous session.
