Riyadh - Mubasher: Majid Al Futtaim Group will open a new four-screen multiplex cinema in Saudi Arabia, which will make it only the second company to obtain a license for a movie theatre in the kingdom.

Vox Cinemas, a brand owned by Al Futtaim, will invest SAR 2 billion ($533 million) to open 600 theatres in the next five years, creating around 3,000 jobs.

The first of these cinemas will be in the capital city of Riyadh, according to the company’s statement.

The company is expected to announce more details regarding its plans to invest in the newly introduced entertainment industry to the Saudi society in the upcoming days.
