Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index gained 26.2 points, or 0.56%, to close at 4,697.23 points on Thursday, pushed up by blue chips.

The ADX’s trading volume soared to 152.18 million shares from 59.42 million on Wednesday, while the market’s liquidity surged to AED 202.03 million versus AED 125.88 million in the previous session.

The energy sector jumped 6.84% after Dana Gas skyrocketed 14.94% to AED 1, while the real estate sector added 1.75%, as Eshraq Properties grew 4.29% to AED 0.73.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, rose 0.58% each.

The banks sector inched up 0.06%, as Union National Bank (UNB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) increased by 0.83% and 0.4%, respectively.
