Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Egypt Aluminum have shown a 108% year-on-year hike in profits for the nine-month period ended March 2018.

Net profit stood at EGP 1.86 billion in the July-March period of fiscal year 2017/2018, compared to EGP 894.017 million in the prior-year period, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

Sales rose to EGP 9.9 billion in the nine-month period of FY17/18, from EGP 6.4 billion in the corresponding period of FY16/17.

The financial indicators had previously shown a 53% year-on-year surge in profits for the first half of FY17/18 to reach EGP 1.15 billion from EGP 755.7 million.
