Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) has announced completing phase one construction of two points of presence (PoPs) to provide communication services to Expo 2020 site.

A pair of Tier III PoPs was constructed at the Expo 2020 site that will provide complete resilience and deliver advanced connectivity services to all Expo ’s visitors, according to a company statement released on Sunday.

“Today’s strategic announcement is significant as it sets the path for the next level of digital infrastructure development for Expo 2020 Dubai,” Etisalat’s senior vice president Esmaeel Alhammadi commented.

The digital highway is deemed the key part of any international event as it facilitates the electronic services on which we heavily rely on, Expo 2020 Dubai’s senior vice president - Innovation and Future Technologies Mohammed Alhashmi said.
