Mubasher: The President of the United States Donald Trump announced his decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.

“The United States no longer makes empty threats. When I make promises, I keep them,” Trump said in a speech delivered minutes ago from the White House.

The US President reiterated his harsh criticism of the agreement signed back in 2015, saying that “a constructive deal could easily have been struck at the time. But it wasn’t.”

“At the heart of the Iran deal was a giant fiction that a murderous regime desired only a peaceful nuclear energy program,” he added, describing the deal as “a great embarrassment to me as a citizen and to all citizens of the United States.”
