Cairo - Mubasher: The President of Egypt, Abdelfattah El-Sisi has appointed Mostafa Madbouly as the new Prime Minister, after the resignation of Sherif Ismail.

Madbouly served as the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities since March 2014.

The now former PM Sherif Ismail resigned two days ago, after El-Sisi was sworn in for his second term in the office of the President.

Madbouly, a professor of urban planning, was the regional director for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN–Habitat) Regional office for the Arab States since November 2012 till end of February 2014.
