QSE falls 21 pts at Monday’s close
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s decliners losing 1.06%

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s session in the red, dragged down by the fall of six sectors, amid heavy trades.

The general index inched down  21.42 points, or 0.23%, to finish at 8,203.32 points.

The bourse’s liquidity increased to QAR 469.87 million on Monday from QAR 239.69 million on Sunday, while the trading volume went up to 9.83 million shares against 4.95 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector topped the QSE’s decliners losing 1.06% as Ezdan Holding Group dropped 2.42%.

Similarly, the banking sector retreated 0.88% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) decreased 1.42%.

On the positive side, the industrial sector was the bourse’s only riser adding 0.68% as Gulf International Services advanced 2.32%.

By the end of the session, Qatar Navigation’s stock led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 2.17 million shares, while QNB’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 245.21 million.
