Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday with a mixed performance for the second session in a row, as the All-Share and Premier markets retreated by 0.12% and 0.24%, respectively, while the Main Market added 0.09%.

The basic materials segment led eight decliners with 2.3%, while both the telecom as well as the oil and gas sectors were the only gainers with 0.99% and 0.07%, respectively.

Osoul Investment led the losers with 8.92%, while Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co headed the winners with 9.8%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 46.6% to KWD 21.27 million on Thursday compared to KWD 14.51 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew by 19.1% to 74.55 million shares from 62.58 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 4.5 million, the stock went down 0.13%.

The Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) was the most active stock on which 8.2 million shares were exchanged, the stock retreated 2.08%.
