Mubasher: An explosion in Ethiopia that targeted a rally for the new Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has killed one and injured more than 150 people.

Abiy described the attack as an unsuccessful attempt by forces who do not want to see Ethiopia united,” as quoted by the BBC.

The new PM has pledged peace with Eritrea after years of conflict, and has also promised the President of Egypt Abdelfattah El-Sisi that the new Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will not affect the country’s share in the River Nile water.

The attack has been condemned by most foreign embassies in Addis Ababa.
