Mubasher: The passenger movement at Kuwait International Airport (KIA) showed an 18% year-on-year increase in June.

The number of people who travelled through the airport totalled 1.22 million in June, compared to 1.03 million in the same month a year earlier, according to a recent statement by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Kuwait (DGCA).

About 505,650 passengers have arrived in Kuwait Airport last month, versus nearly 417,340 travellers in the prior-year period.

Meanwhile, passengers departing from KIA stood at nearly 716,800 in June, from around 617,140 in the corresponding period in 2017.

The DGCA clarified that the flight movement operated from and to the airport registered about 10,071 flights in June, compared to nearly 8,998 flights in the same month last year.
