Cairo – Mubasher: Pharos Holding is managing 15 acquisition and restructuring transactions worth over EGP 7 billion, managing director Noha El Ghazaly said.

The deals are performed in a number of sectors, including food industries, retail, education, and health, El Ghazaly told Amwal Al Ghad.

The Egyptian investment bank will manage about three restructurings in different fields in a bid to pave the way for floating a stake in these firms on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) or offer shares for sale in favour of strategic investors, she highlighted.

The Cairo-based firm has implemented around 16 investment transactions at a total value of up to EGP 36 billion since 2015, she noted.

El Gazaly said that the company’s strategy over the coming period is based on supporting the activities of investment banks by maximising the volume of implemented transactions, extending the activities of private and government initial public offering (IPO), and expanding in the GCC region through its Dubai-based office.

Pharos seeks to provide financial consulting services to state-run firms, which will float their shares on the Egyptian bourse over the coming period, she indicated.
