Saudi indices start Wednesday in decline
The consumer durables and apparel sector dropped 0.7%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Wednesday's trading session in red territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 20.65 points, or 0.24%, to 8,441.94 points.

By 10:38 am KSA time, TASI's trading volume reached 16.67 million shares exchanged with a turnover of SAR 380.72 million through 14,750 transactions. 

The consumer durables and apparel sector dropped 0.7%, followed by the energy sector with 0.5%.

The materials, telecommunication services, and banking sectors tumbled 0.4%, 0.2%, and 0.17%, respectively. 

On the other hand, the insurance sector rose 0.5%, while the utilities sector inched up 0.09%.

Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Company’s stock led losers with a drop of 1.1%, whereas Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Company’s (Enaya) stock was the best performer after growing 1.2%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, went down 17.87 points, or 0.6%, to 2,854.10 points.

The stocks of Raydan Co and Development Works Food edged down 0.7% and 0.1%, respectively.
