Mubasher: Oil prices rose by the end of Wednesday’s trading session, which saw a mixed performance after the release of the United States Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) weekly report.

US crude oil inventories rose by 5.8 million barrels last week, against analysts’ expectations of a 3.2 million barrel decline.

American production reached its highest level ever at 11 million barrels per day, the data of the EIA also showed on Wednesday.

However, Nymex futures were able to register a 1% increase to settle at the level of 68.76 per barrel, while Brent futures for September delivery added 0.9% and reached 72.8 a barrel.
