Dubai eyes robust business, investments ties with Egypt

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI) has met with Egyptian delegates from the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) to reinforce the emirate’s business and investments in Egypt.

Dubai-Egypt ties are “a major boost” to turn the emirate into one of the world’s most sustainable and competitive business hubs, deputy CEO of Dubai FDI Khalid Al Boom said.

Both parties discussed the volume of foreign investments in Dubai as part of the government’s efforts to provide a “business-friendly environment and enact important socio-economic policies”, the investment development agency of the Dubai Economy Department (DED) said in a statement.

The meeting, held in Dubai, also tackled the agency’s role in offering a business-appropriate landscape to attract foreign firms and help boost capital growth, Dubai FDI added.

Al Boom also said that the visit would further reinforce government-to-government ties and promote expertise and knowledge-sharing.

“The current favourable business environment would further push a new phase of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries to help realize their growth and development goals,” the Dubai FDI deputy CEO added.

Moreover, Dubai FDI officials considered promising business opportunities and crucial services that will serve and benefit international firms operating in the emirate, according to the statement.

The Dubai government has adopted an integrated programme to help foreign companies aiming to start their business in the city to guarantee profitability and success.

Egyptian officials were given a tour in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSO) as part of their visit to Dubai to learn about the institutions’ best practices, development strategies, main service offerings, and major investment opportunities.
