Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: ADNOC Distribution on Tuesday announced the opening of the first wave of Géant Express convenience stores in the UAE.

The first launch includes five stores, the first of which was opened in May, while the remaining four will be inaugurated this week.

The Géant Express openings are part of ADNOC Distribution’s agreement with Urban Foods. Under the deal, five more Géant Express stores will be opened across the UAE in the coming several months, ADNOC Distribution said in a statement.

The UAE’s largest fuel and convenience retailer said it received “positive customer feedback on its Géant Express convenience store offering, and has seen increased footfall since the opening of the first store.”

The opening and expansion of the convenience business added to working with Urban Foods and the Géant Express brand will support and enhance ADNOC Distribution’s customer experience, the fuel and convenience retailer’s CEO Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi said about the opening.

Meanwhile, Urban Foods senior vice president of operations Mark Lack said that his company strongly believes that it has “chosen the perfect partner to expand the Géant brand in the UAE. We are excited by today’s openings, and look forward to many more to come.”
