Credit Agricole profits rise 15.2% in H1

Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Credit Agricole – Egypt have shown a 15.2% year-on-year rise in net profits for the first half of 2018, recording EGP 1.09 billion from EGP 949.03 million.

Revenues from interests grew by 17.4% to EGP 2.6 billion in the six-month period ended June, versus EGP 2.22 billion in H1-17, the bank said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Tuesday.

Total deposits in the bank amounted to EGP 39.5 billion at the end of June, up from EGP 37.08 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.

The bank’s total loans stood at EGP 20.97 billion in the January-June period of 2018, compared to EGP 18.06 billion in H1-17.

Credit Agricole previously posted a 28.85% year-on-year rise in consolidated profits for Q1-18, recording a net profit of EGP 601.47 million from EGP 467.12 million.
