Mubasher: Gold prices declined for the first time in three sessions on Thursday, as the US dollar returned to gains against major currencies.

The yellow metal failed to build up on the rising tensions between the United States, and both Russia and China, which increased demand on safe haven.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.1% to the level of $1,219.90 per ounce.
