Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (AMAN) on Sunday posted a net profit of AED 5.3 million for the second quarter of 2018, versus AED 1.6 million in Q2-17.
Net profit from takaful operation reached AED 5.97 million in the three-month period ended June, against a net loss of AED 3.45 million in the prior-year period, according to a filing to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
In the first half of 2018, the company logged AED 6.74 million in profit, compared to AED 2.5 million in the year-ago period.
Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to AED 0.03 at the end of June, versus AED 0.012 in H1-17.
The UAE-based firms previously reported a 36% year-on-year drop in its profits for Q1-18, recording a net profit of AED 1.5 million, compared to AED 1.1 million.
