EGX ends Tuesday in red; market cap sheds EGP 6.99bn
Market capitalisation lost EGP 6.99 billion and closed at EGP 860.48 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in red territory, dragged down by Arab and foreign sell-off.

The benchmark EGX30 index fell 1.06%, finishing the session at 15,356.81 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dipped 0.26% to 743.39 points, while the broader EGX100 index slipped 0.71% to 1,911.08 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 1.03% to 2,527.59 points.

Market capitalisation lost EGP 6.99 billion and closed at EGP 860.48 billion.

Trading volume amounted to 135.12 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 717.45 million through 18,990 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 182.49 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 2.07 million and EGP 180.42 million, respectively.
