Saudi indices end Thursday on positive note
The consumer durables and apparel sector levelled up 1%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday's trading session in green territory, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched up 1.48 points, or 0.02%, to 7,867.16 points.

TASI’s trading volume stood at 92.39 million on Thursday, up from 90.88 million shares on Wednesday, while traded value increased to SAR 2.55 billion, from SAR 2.41 billion.

The consumer durables and apparel sector levelled up 1%, followed by the diversified financials and banking sectors with 0.98%, and 0.5%, respectively. 

On the flipside, the pharmaceuticals sector fell 1.5%, while the healthcare sector dipped 1.1%.

SABB Takaful’s stock led gainers after growing 5.1%, whereas Swicorp Wabel REIT Fund’s stock was the worst performer after dropping 3.8%.

Alinma Bank’s stock topped in terms of trading volume after 16.42 million shares were exchanged, while the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) led in terms of traded value after generating a turnover of SAR 415.44 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, surged 40.89 points, or 1.6%, to finish at 2,627.51 points. 

Nomu’s liquidity rose to SAR 2.92 million on Thursday, from SAR 1.42 million in the previous session, while traded volume stood at 139,390 shares, up from 95,280 shares.

Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock topped risers with 10.5%, whereas the stock of Raydan Co declined 1.8%.

Baazeem Trading’s stock was the most active in the secondary market activities after 42,730 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 1.12 million.

On a related note, Tadawul stated previously that Eid Al-Adha holiday will start on Sunday, 19 August, which corresponds to 8 Dhul-Hijjah1439 Hijri year, while trading will be resumed on Sunday, 26 August, which corresponds to 15 Dhul-Hijjah 1439 Hijri year.
