Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading session in a negative territory, dragged by the drop of six sectors.
By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index declined 0.59% to 9,962.41 points, losing 59.61 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 22.9 million after 977,200 shares were traded through 590 transactions.
The transportation sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.18% as Qatar Navigation (Milaha) went down 2.54%.
Similarly, the banking sector retreated 0.80% on the back of the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 0.69% drop.
On the other hand, the goods and services sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.08% as Zad Holding Company grew 1.09%.
Doha Bank’s stock, which plunged 1.65%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 254,600 shares, generating QAR 6.4 million in liquidity.
