Mubasher: Kuwait Bahrain International Exchange posted a decline of 50.6% in profits during the six months ended on 30 June 2018 compared to the same period a year ago.
Earnings decreased to about KWD 30,730 ($101,740) in the six-month period in 2018 from nearly KWD 62,180 ($205,860) in the same period a year ago, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.
The drop in profits is attributed to lower non-operating revenues in addition to a growth in general and administrative expenses.
Kuwait Bahrain International achieved an increase of 24.2% in operating profits to nearly KWD 492,000 in the six months ended on 30 June from KWD 396,000 in the same period a year ago.
