Mubasher: The final conference day of Arabnet Kuwait 2018 on Wednesday, 10 October, has featured the Money forum that is sponsored by Kuwait Finance House (KFH), according to a recent statement.

The third edition of Arabnet Kuwait, which kicked off on 8 October, hosted more than 1000 government leaders, digital practitioners, and entrepreneurs from across the region with the event being sponsored by Boubyan Bank, DMS, (KFH), Kuwaitnet, Al Khaleejiah, and VIVA Kuwait.

The Money forum in Arabnet explored the global trends in the fintech segment, featuring four panels with industry leaders from Colendi, Gulf Capital, Mustard Seeds and many others.

“The track also hosted Kuwaiti banking leaders from Boubyan Bank, KFH, NBK Capital, (KIB) and more, as well as fintech leaders like Ripple and 11.2 Capital who delved into transformations created by big data, blockchain and AI,” the statement added.

For the 3rd successive year, Arabnet Kuwait featured the Startup Battle competition focusing on emerging talent and innovators.

The statement noted that “with Sirdab Lab as a Training Partner and Bayt as Hiring Partner, Gamify from Palestine (1st place), Swap from Kuwait (2nd place) and Plotos from UAE (3rd place) were chosen as the top startups. The three winning startups will get the chance to participate in the Championship taking place in Dubai at the Arabnet Digital Summit 2019 for a chance to win $20,000. As for the People’s Choice Award, Scrrap from Kuwait was selected as the winner of a $5000 CASH PRIZE presented by Kuwait Finance House.”

Arabnet will be hosting its next event in Riyadh on 12 to 13 December 2018 which promises to be the biggest and most interactive Arabnet event yet.
