Riyadh – Mubasher: Nama Chemicals Company on Sunday announced that it has begun maintenance work at one of the Epichlorohydrin pipelines after a limited leak.

This pipeline links Jubail Commercial Port and reservoirs of Jana Company,  Nama Chemicals’ subsidiary, according to a filing to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).

The leak did not lead to any environmental problems and it is under control, Nama noted, adding that it does not have a major financial impact.

On the other hand, the leading petrochemical firm announced resuming operation at its allyl-alcohol, Epichlorohydrin and chlorine alkaline plants after completing periodic maintenance works.

The company took all the necessary measure regarding its obligations towards the clients during the period of suspension.

By the end of Thursday’s session, Nama’s stock plunged 3.13% at SAR 27.90.
